Shortlisted in the first round of BBC Drama Writers Academy 2011
Posted: 4th July 2011
In May, I was shortlisted in the first round of applications for the BBC Drama Writers Academy 2011, a scheme that trains 8 writers a year to write for the four BBC Continuing
Drama shows; EastEnders, Casualty, Holby City and Doctors.
I didn't make the final 8 candidates. It's saddening, but I was up against the best of the best. I'll apply again next year.
The first round shortlist was decided by the first 10 pages of each writer's submitted script.

Halfway House sitcom pitch wins Comedy Twitch contest
Posted: 15th September 2010
The Comedy Twitch contest was organised by the guys over at Combined Mind, where entrants
had to submit a pitch for their sitcom... in no more than 140 characters! Basically, the length of a tweet!
I entered a pitch for my sitcom Halfway House. And I won. (Actually, I'm one of three winners.)
The prize is free entry into the Broadcast Comedy Forum in London on the 22nd of September,
an annual industry event where writers can rub shoulders with producers and broadcasters.
